Root server just means a dedicated machine where you have root (admin) access to.

As a cheaper way you could try out a VPS which is a machine you actually share with other users but still in a separate environment.
Just keep an eye to fit the minimum requirements to run Rome on it.

You have to google for yourself. The closer they are to you and your friends the better the pings.
Try to keep it in your country and there should be a lot of choices for you to pick from.

Or if you have hardware and the connection speed you can just host at home.

Sure, and you end up crappy like any other host system game nowadays does. But anyway, this wouldnt solve the problem he asked for.

Guys i registered VPS connection for my clan server but whenever i start it produce some " Invalid memory access error " on read .This error occurs only when i try to host in emulator nexus but I can successfully host in Internet via mase emu. (main thing is it cant read project rome file)

server used : bc2 mase v9 (r34 server)

Please provide a proper solution for this. Thank you...
